Default Sufficient power supply?

It's been a while, but I have been away and my computer has junked out since then
Anyway, I am running Q6600 quad-core, 4 gigs of corsair ram, 2 8800gts 320mb (SLI), 250gb and 36gb raptor drive and 2 DVD drives. I need a new PSU. I have the brand that I want because it is solid, so I'm not asking that. But, I have a 900 watt and an 1100 watt PSU. They are the exact same, but different wattages is all. Here's the 900w edition.

Newegg.com - ABS Tagan BZ Series BZ900 ATX12V / EPS12V 900W Patent Piperock Modular Power Supply 115 - 230V ± 10% tolerance TUV, UL, CE, CB, FCC, Semko, Nemko, Demko, Fimko - Retail

Like I said, I am sticking with this brand and everything, but I would like to know if you think this 900 watt would be good enough for my system, or if i should upgrade to the 1100 watt edition. Thanks!

Nice to see someone specing a high end PSU. I run a Q6600 and one ATI 3850, 2 SATA drives and an optical on a 6oo Watt OCZ power supply, you should be good to go with the 900 Watt. Or a little less...

i was thinking about the 900. I have a 700w Antec truepower in here now, but it doesn't seem to be cutting it. it's a good PSU, but it seems like I can't get any good solid voltage out of it for my CPU.

The 900w unit should be good enough. But I'm always thinking more is better.
I'm running a 1250w PS in my SLI system :-)

Its overkill but will work just fine.

You'll be able to use it for several pc builds in the future...

Overkill i agree 100% but as for the future pc that i'm not sure of , with all the save energy going on we may run our future pc with quad sli , quadcore ,etc... all on a 300-400 psu or less..?

anyway it's my hope for the near future

I figured it was a little overkill, but I definitely hope to upgrade in the near future. I already have quad core and 4 gigs, but I would like to go SLI with GTXs or hopefully tri SLI. That would be nice and to have a good PSU that can already run it would just be a large plus
