Default XFX nForce 680i LT SLI Socket 775 cooler fit

im looking for a cooler that will fit this mother bored http://www.xfxforce.com/media/produc...27670022/2.jpg

any one have this bored? i was looking ata zerotherm nirvana but it will only work with the fan blowing down across the bored on the nb and the gpu. thanka!

Just looking at it I'd say the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme if your case is big enough.
I looked at there compatibility list but they haven't tested any XFX boards. But it looks
like the same basic layout as my old EVGA 680i and there was plenty of room.

Well i cant fine a therma right 120 extreme or the 120 standerd newgg frozencpu and profromance pc are all out of stock..... any one try fiting this one on the board?

i got that exact fan i used it for exaust on my old case

i have just over 6/12 inches form the mb to the side panel (form a empty ram slot to compensate for the chip monts) that enuff for this mean looking thing? the specs on it say 160.5 mm thats about 6.3 inchs

It will be a close fit. I measured 6-3/8" from my mobo to the top of the heatsink.
But it sounds like a good reason to try a little case modding if necessary :-)

Yea i have a hiper aunbis i can take out the plexy and cut a hole and bend the mesh a bit ill have to measure form the cpu mounting then the board gets here. if it dont fit ill just build me a wood case that i was thinking of making any way. (i work at a cabinet shop)
