Default Any thoughts on this video card.

I would like to know what everyone thoughts are about this video card would be, it is a EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card, so i decided i buy this today and figured it be a good upgrade from my EVGA 7800GTX OC KO 256MB pci express card i am using now, it was also right around the price range that i could afford, i am right now using the 7800GTX in my gaming pc, i will soon have another pc up for gaming as a back up so the 8800GTS will be going in my new gaming pc.

I would go with something like this. It's just a little more. I can loan you a few
dollars if you need it :-)

The new G92 ones are supposed to dominate. But like killert said, the GT is a better buy

Agreed, the 512MB version of the 8800GT is a better buy. This is the one I have, Newegg.com - XFX PVT88PYDF4 GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail, and I'm extremely pleased with it. Since it's the lowest clocked one with high headroom it's kind of hard to find but there is the same card by other manufacturers available.

Yeah, the 320mb GTS is a poor choice. It was top dog for value for money three months ago, but there's a lot better you can get now. Another vote for the 8800GT 512mb.

Thanks everyone for there reply and thoughts on the video card i pick, i guess the card i thought i pick would have been a good choice since is right around what i could afford for my next upgrade, so i will just have to put it on hold on it till at least next week payday to get the one of the following.

So i like to know what would you think of the 2 choices i have here for a video card since everyone is pretty much set on me to go for the GT 8800.

EVGA 512-P3-N802-AR GeForce 8800GT Superclocked 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail $269.99

or this one

EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail $249.99

Don't get an overclocked version of the card. You will save a few bucks buying a card with the stock speed and overclocking it yourself. I can easily take mine beyond "Superclocked" speeds.

Let me know when you get the card. I have one of these sitting around Arctic Cooling that has these fans Arctic Cooling that I am not using. The unit was a bit too tall for my case. If you need some aftermarket GT cooling I'll shoot it your way.

Well i just saved enough money up and ordered my new video card today and hopefully it be here by Monday since it was fairly late ordering it, but i know Newegg there very good at getting there stuff shipped out fast.

I am going to take out my EVGA 7800GTX OC KO 256MB pci express card out of my gaming pc and use it on my other pc and used the NEW EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card as my new replacement, this should be awesome for a upgrade and looking forward to give it the work out playing COD 4.

BA Thanks and i really appreciate the offer will see what happens when i get the new card and see how hard it is to replace the heatsink and fans with the one's you have, never done this so i might take the chance.
