Default Splitting case fan to two fans...

I have one case fan connection on my motherboard. If I use a Y-splitter to split that connection
to two fans, will there be a voltage drop that causes the two fans to run at half the normal speed?

They need to be connected in parallel, then theres no voltage drop
so red to red , black to black, yellow to yellow etc...
no voltage drop, but double amps...

FYI:

Since you will be splitting a motherboard fan header with two fans.

Be sure the fans are not exceeding the maximum output of the fan header.

It can cause damage to the mainboard fan header.

Good point. I'll be hooking up two 60mm fans (2.4W each). Those are mighty small. The motherboard manual doesn't mention a max load on the fan header.

Did some digging and found someone saying that the motherboard header has 350mA or 4.2 w. Still digging to find out if this is true.

In cases like this I usually say "Only one way to find out!" Hehe.

I could probably get away with one fan, but I was considering using one as an intake fan and the other as exhaust.
