I've only had the ear buds that came with my Ipod for 6 months, and they're falling apart already! The rubbery stuff on the edge of them is flaking off and around 3 weeks ago, the speaker cap thingy (don't know what it's called) that goes in your ear came off while I was running!
I mostly listen to metal and rock music like Linkin Park, Rammstein, Alien Ant Farm, and DragonForce.
I always listen to my Ipod whenever I go running, so the ear buds must be durable. I also want them to have good base and be comfortable (the Ipod headphones fit me just fine). I am looking to spend no more than $80. Less is preferable.
I already own a pair of Icemat Siberia ear buds. They were cheap and decent, but I can't stand the fact that one end of the cord to an earbud is twice as long as the other! It really gets to me. I also looked at the Sony Fontopias, but I don't like the idea of their cord problems.
Are these good choices? What do you guys recommend?
