Thinking of Getting 1st Laptop

I'm considering getting a laptop, it'll be my first. Here's the specs I'm looking at:

HP Pavilion
AMD X2 TL-60
2GB DDR2
120GB HD (I'm getting rid of Vista and getting XP)
17 inch widescreen
DVD Double Layer
webcam, etc.

It'll cost: $700, NEW IN BOX

What do you think?

What kind of graphics card has it got? If its got a decent graphics card than it's a pretty good deal. I got this for $750. The sale pops up every so often.

I don't know the graphics just yet. It's an Office Depot Exclusive that can only be ordered at the store. Whatever it is, I'm sure it's upgradeable too.

Well all I can say is that I'm very happy with my HP laptop. The screens buetiful. It runs a little hot but that's allright and if I turn the brightness down a lot the battery will last about 2-2 1/2 hours.

$200 Mail in Rebate = $643!!!!

On HP's site the same exact laptop is $1058.00
