What do you recommend to use.

I am getting a job for a DJ, as his music manager. Its got a pay of around 30$ an hour, guaranteed around 2k a month (one hell of a college job). So i'm looking to build a custom karaoke box for him.

I need large music collection storage, like 2-3 TB of space.

*side note, anyone have some random large collection of music or CDG files?

It needs to run smoothly on a X-Fi live, with some nice karaoke software. I'm thinking a nice cheap core duo, and a cheesy onboard video driver, only need to display lyrics, and a nice sound card.

I'm thinking a large span of discs. No external, all internal hard drives I'm thinking quad 500GB, and or 2x750GB a 500GB and two raptors 150GB. Now this is all in the air, and i wanted some input on putting it together and wondering if it would work.

They sell 200GB systems running a 1.5GHz celeron for like $2,999. So i want to build one of my own. Especially with the HTPC cases coming with the LCD screen on the front, who needs expensive boxes that are built to do this, i'll make one.
