Default use different reciver with logitech mouse?

alright, i bought a lx5 logitech wireless mouse from savers NEW for $7...so i really shouldnt be complaining about anything...but i still am. i cracked open the reciver that came with it, and found a dial that you turn with a screwdriver. turning it make the mouse not work. so what im guessing is that the dial is for freq. tuning right? so what i want to know is, if i can get my hands on a logitech brand USB pen reciver, the same one used with the laptop mouses, can i retune those to work with the mouse i have now?

I'm afrade i don't think you can. I have a bluetooth diNovo Keyboard mouse combo, and i tried to get a nether reciver so i could use my keyboard with my 360 but they don't have them they said.
However my friend got a new one by saying his was broken (he thought it was) and they sent him a new one. So he has 2 now. Some mice i have noticed have a permanet reciver (you cant change it) my mx revolution at work has that, no connect button.

Good luck it rilly sucks they don't offer a way to get more recivers. Nice thing is if more of my friends bought ps3 i would have a problem becase i don't need the recivers the ps3 has a bluetooth one build in so it works nicely. I havent tried it with a pc with onboard bluetooth but it should work just as good. I think just a RF mouse should work to so ya
good luck
