Psh, I got mine way back at launch, and I was (and still am, basically) a newbie as far as doing things to game systems that their designers might frown upon. Was going to do things to it, but, long story short, 3.0 firmware is mean, and a copy of Lumines is both difficult to find and expensive considering it's age.

Throw the thing in water and let it sit for a bit so the stickiness can become liqufied. Then after ample time, take it out and submerge it in a tub of rice, yes rice. The rice will absorb the moisture with the stickiness in it (Hopefully)
