| My fiance thought it would be a nice gift for 'me' (also read as us...) since I had done so much in perparing for our wedding (a week from today). Setting up the house Picking the scripture readings Laying out the order of worship (i know the church usually does this, but I wanted to take a crack at it too )Getting my groomsmen gifts lined up. Just being nice. So, she bought me a new Nintendo DS Lite, with 3 games. New Super Mario Bros., Metroid Prime Hunters, and Big Brain Academy. This little system is pretty awesome. It's small, light, sexy, and is a perfect 'niche game' filler for me. One of my groomsmen, who works at a local Gamestop, also purchased for me Trauma Center: Under the Knife, which I will get on Friday at the rehersal for the wedding, I can't wait. The only drawbacks I see from it that I wish it had, were an onboard hard drive, or at least the ability to save game demos (XBOX 360 and PC have spoiled me), firmware updates (ala Sony's PSP), and a stronger homebrew scene (that doesn't involve just illegal playing of GBASP ROMS). I wish the system cam e packaged with more. It included an instruction manual, a wi-fi setup manual, an extra stylus, and the system...that's it. It would've been extremely nice of Nintendo to include the following two things... A cleaning cloth A wrist strap. But, they are out to make money...there is no official Nintendo DS cleaning cloth (any glasses cleaning cloth will work wonderfully, and you can buy a wrist strap from their site for 3.95. Here are some pics... Everything I have. ![]() Everything I have with the DS in the 'open' position ![]() This sucker is small...size comparison against a standard DVD case and a game cartridge. It looks like the T-Rex is eating the DS...I'm sure it tastes wonderfu. ![]() Another size comparision...a side by side shot against Jurassic Park ![]() The startup screen...mmm...pretty... ![]() Some more pictures are in the gallery. | ||

Ok, it's my turn to play with it.... This is really fun..... Hon, don't wear it out, we'll have more time with it after the honeymoon... Do we have extra batteries? Yes! W00T! I knew I could beat it!
