| So, my PSP is semi-bricked. Electronically, it functions, but the UMD drive no longer works, and the external speakers are no longer functional. My question is this: Can I get any use out of it? I understand most homebrew requires you to have downgraded firmware, and mine is currently at... 3.5? I think. And the only way I'd seen to downgrade the firmware is to use the original Lumines UMD, which, of course, I can't do. If I can't get any function out of it as a unit, is there any chance of being able to use the LCD for future modding? Thanks in advance! | ||

| Holy crap, someone actually found and replied to my post in the gaming section. Praise be to whatever deity is responsible for tiny miracles. Thanks a heap Zero. I might take you up on those offers when my wallet has some more girth to it . Recently (and sadly, I might add) traded in my modest collection of PSP games for next-to-nothing at Gamestop for a couple games for my new DS Lite. I actually miss my PSP, which I had been told by many Nintendo converts was impossible. It'd be nice to get it functional again. | ||
