how do i change the color of the pen tool where i make custom shapes. its always fading green to black no matter how i change the colors.

photoshop 6+: there is a tool menu docked to the menu bar at the top of your work area (it only displays options for selected tools, so pick the pin tool, keyboard shortcut "p"). there is a drop down box for "style" and a "color" swatch. make sure your "syle" is set to none, and choose a color by clicking the swatch.

there is also an option in that same bar that allows you to draw with the pen tool without a fill.

this is helpful when you are making a complex shape and you dont want to cover up your concave anchor points.

Rad, I think if I remember right Mots using PSP, and I'm not familiar enough with it to know the answer.

Just thought I'd mention that in case you or someone else might be a PSP user.

yeah, i realized that after i posted. im sure psp has something similar, a toolset of some sort, or a menu similar to it. most programs are the same. im not a big psp user either.

im using photoshop now. Thanks. I use PSP for some things and Photoshop for others. Im getting better at photoshop though and thanx i didnt see that drop down.
