Photoshop Game Round 2

Give this image color. You may ask "how do I do that?"

1. Open the image.
2. Make a new layer above it.
3. Set the layer to Overlay.
4. Paint within the lines.
5. Add some shadows for detail.

Just use fingerpaints bro, then you will also have a colorful "screensaver" when you are done as well.
Something about 2 birds with one stone......

well, I tried the new layer set to overlay, and all that did was color the lines, so I did it my own way...this is what I came up with:

Im trying the one of Vash, because Trigun is cool, but how do i get it to have anything but greyscale?

Click Image --> Mode --> RGB Color and that should do it for you...

I'm sorry. In the new version PS 7 you use Multiply instead of Overlay. Overlay was used in v6.

okies i tried, it sucks i know, but i tried

ouch looks even worse with the quality reduced so it can be uoloaded

I tried multiply too, but I didn't like the look...I'm doing the other pic too...just for kicks...might be done tonight, but maybe not...

OK, I know all you guys are gonna think I'm reeeeeeal stupid, but could someone please help me with the whole color thing. I tried the multiply layer and it didnt work, and the overlay just gives me the lines in that color. I haven't used ps much AT ALL, so i need a little help. I have ps7. Thanks in advance.
