Default video compressor

I am having huge problems. i need to compress AVI to about 10-20Mbs (i can deal with crappy quality) BUT the problem is the video has TITLE screens (where there is just writing) its keeps cutting out those parts when i go to compress it. I've tried windows movie maker, and xillisoft video converter. I use premiere pro but thats turning out this 1:30 minutes into 206Mb. Any help i could use guys

Just wondering have you tried any DVD recording programs to see if that works. Ps what kind of program are you using to do this.

How about compressing the title seperately and then splicing it together

Trying using VirtualDubMod if you want to compress an AVI file. If you want to convert it to a DVD use ConvertToDVD. Nero also works with converting AVI files to DVD.

Ditto on the VirtualDub, but if size is the issue you'll need to use some sort of codec like DivX or XviD.

Just use XviD as its used more than DivX and it free where as you have to pay for DivX.
