If your mobile can read divx, AutoGK (not Glitterkill) is what I use.

I've used a program called FlaskMPEG and it seems to work fine, and it lets you resize, crop, and otherwise transform the output file.

How quick is DVD santa? I use a combination of DVD Decrypter and AutoGK and that usually takes about 4 hours in total to rip a 100 minute DVD to 700mb AVI.

Darn that alot of time.

let say that I have good quality backups of moves that I play on my laptop.

600-800 MB files to convert the files to the dvd format ready to burn and play on most dvd players.
-less than 1 1/2 - 2 hours including a dvd ready to be played.

1-2 Gig's files to convert the files to the dvd format ready to burn and play on most dvd players.

-About 2 - 2 1/2 hours and a few minutes for the burn. And a few minutes for the burn dvd.

The next parthelp me out DVD SANTA keep crashing this fixed it.

How can I take a DivX/Xvid movie (or any other video formats) that I have and burn it onto a DVD so I can play it in any DVD player?

Before You Start...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dvdSanta supports almost all kinds of video formats, such as AVI, DivX, Xvid, WMV, ASF, MPG, VOB.... To ensure that dvdSanta can burn your most up-to-date video files onto DVD. You need to have some latest audio and video codecs installed on your PC. If you do have all the codecs you need on your PC, skip this part and read Step 1.

1) Install latest Microsoft DirectX 9.
2) Install latest Microsoft Windows Media 9.
3) Install the latest Official Xvid codec from http://nic.dnsalias.com/XviD-Dec.exe
4) Install the latest Official Divx codec from DivX.com
NOTE: It is VERY important to have the latest DivX/Xvid codecs installed on your PC. Old codec versions may cause problems when encoding the newer video files.
