Default What I Do / AutoCad

Well I've been a member here for quite some time and most
of you don't know what I'm really good at. So here you go. If members
express an interest I post more of these. I've got 100's. I recommend
going here and download and install the AutoDesk DWF Viewer
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?id=2404513&siteID=123112
Then when you click on the supplied link
viewing link
You'll be able to zoom in and pan about with no loss of Quality. Check it
out. Here are the gif's to compare with.

Its good to hear that some else in this forum does the same stuff that I have to do at work everyday. Not bad at all. You work at a firm, or do you freelance?

I play with AutoDesk Inventor at home. I'm currently designing a robot with it.

While I could draw it in 3D, it would take more than twice as long. Most people don't
want to pay that price. The 2D printout for that home in NE Fla. runs $2000. It mets
all the local requirements for a permit. While I wasn't advertising for work. I have
plently. I can draw any home someone may want. I'd offer a reduced rate and supply
the autocad file that could be modified to met local building codes in your areas. It
would be even cheaper for any home I've already drawn.

I've worked for several large home builders in my area. The last one I worked for
was bought out by Richmond America Homes. I've opened my own office in
Macclenny, Fl with a friend who is a General Contractor. I've drawn about 200
custom homes in the last year and 1/2 :-)

He he..you should draw up a few dog houses for the rich and famous...you know, with all the latest high tech gadgets to keep Rover happy.

Tree houses for the kids would be another easy one...People with money would go crazy, just make 3 or 4 basic designs and then you can quickly modify them to the owners specific needs.

That is some awesome work there Bro, just thought I'd throw in a few ideas to accessorize those Pimpin' Palaces

That is some nice work.
I use AutoCad at work but not on any scale like that.
Mostly just for viewing the office blueprints for the buildings I work in.

Have you ever designed a home for someone who spends most of their time in a power wheelchair?

I've drawn a few homes that were Handicap Accessible. Mostly you just make everything bigger.
Wider hallways, doors and such :-)

Well, sort of. We need lower cupboards, sinks with faucets and handles toward the front, a giant bathroom with a roll in shower with 2 or more shower heads, ease of ingress and egress with contingency for a cleaning station to knock crud off the wheelchair tires, stuff like that. The idea is to make the wheelchair occupant as independent as possible.

Well there's all kinds of little thing to make a home totally ADA compliant. But mostly
it all involves making things bigger to allow for the wheelchair. Special cabinets, sinks
and such are mostly a pick and choose situation. The trick is making the space available
to acommodate the special items. Which usually means bigger, larger spaces :-)
