Default Burning DVD from ITunes

I bought the entire season of Firefly from iTunes and it comes to just over 3 GB. You're gonna laugh, but I've NEVER burned a DVD. I have a DVD writer, but just don't know what I'm doing. Will iTunes burn the entire season to a DVD in a format that will play on any player, or is there some kind of conversion process required? Thanks.

It's been a while since I've burned anything in Itunes but it shouldn't be a problem.

P.S Congrats on getting Firefly. It's one of the best tv series I've ever seen.

After that incredible movie, I'm shocked that they haven't released a new series. The women on that show are so incredibly hot too. The one who played the "professional whore" is on SG-1 now.

Yeah, FIrefly was incredible. Serenity is bad ass as well. My friend had it on DVD and i "backed it up" from him.

Do you want to just back up the files? Or be able to watch it on a DVD player?

Hahahaha...a "professional whore" as you said, is now the demi-god, divine leader of a galactic religion of Jehovah's witnesses!

As far as I can tell, the video is not able to be burned using iTunes. Also the DRM cannot be stripped using J-Hymn as yet. The only option I'm aware of is TuneBite claims it can do iTunes video (many people can't make it work).

What extensions do the files have? I am guessing .mp4? I convert and burn movie files every single day, so I may be able to help.

iTunes utilizes the proprietary Apple FairPlay DRM system. The videos have a .M4V extension, and cannot be opened in any player other than iTunes.

Well that sucks. I can't think of any better reason to not buy their videos. I guess they have their reasons, though. Thanks for the info bro.

See my first post, I can't get it to work for videos in iTunes (similar complaints all over their forums with no resolution), it just crashes, works great for everthing else though. It's quite a risk to spend ~$50 to try and fail.
