Default Time-lapse help

I am looking for a program that would allow me to extract like every 4th frame or every 8th frame from a video like a time-lapse shot, fast forward. Anyone know of such a program?

Why don't you just speed up the playback on the footage that you have?
That should produce the same effect

If you are wanting to shoot proper time-lapse, you'll need to do it via the camera and create time lapse footage itself (i.e. take a single frame at a pre-defined interval) as opposed to dropping frames from a video clip

Windows Movie maker cant do that, I need some REAL video editing tools. I would Google but I want to hear it from people who work around this stuff all the time.

Aah - I get ya - I currently use the Adobe suite (It cost an arm and a leg to buy but "business investment" was the call on it though )

I've had a play with Premiere elements too - it's alright

The one I got started with was a bundled copy of Ulead Videostudo (i had ver 6, but they're up to 10 nowadays) It was really easy to use and way quicker to pick up than Premiere Pro.

They have a free trial over at www.ulead.com - I don't know whether or not they disable exporting the files or anything, but i'd suggest giving it a go and see (seriously, Windows movie maker is pretty bad)
