Funky- Great job on your sig

the only thing I'd suggest is make your binary font in the background a little less intense, as it kinda makes reading the foreground text a bit tricky.

Thanks, Jobi, I thought the same thing about the binary. Reposted a newer version. I was wanting to do some kind of dissolve/fade/shatter effect on the right hand side, but it would look funny on a white background, I think... is there an easy way to do a "shatter" effect? Maybe some kind of texture over a linear gradient as an alpha mask?

Well, like I said, I know squat when it comes to GIMP... never used it. But when I am wanting a fairly complex texture effect, such as the shattered effect you're looking for, I google images.

Try googling "shattered glass" in Google Images and see what it gives you. You can then use a chunk of an image as an overlay or mask or something to create your shatter effect.

I've got a folder full of images of metal, painted metal, pitted metal, diamond plate, rusty metal, stone, wood, water, etc that I use as texture overlays in many of the sigs I do for members here.

Thanks for the tips. I'm definitely going to play with it, but I wound up squeezing it down to 600 pixels wide, so I don't have room for an effect on the right hand side anyway. Seems resizing the text made it a bit fuzzy... I may have to redo it from scratch. Or not. When I come up with something cool, I'll post it here for public consumption

Hey boys and girls!

I'm finally making a site from scratch, using my HTML skillz that I learned this past semester. I'm using Frontpage to edit and then upload them to Tripod. I've got it started, just a sample of what I've done, but wanted some feedback on how it looks so far.

Its cool.........But the only thing I don't like is the Pop-Up ADDS

btw......how big is you're storage? Knowing you might have to get a bigger one for all the Sig's you have made

Thanks for the feedback T2. Yeah, the adds are horrible on Tripod, and my storage is only 20Mb. I looked at a free host called ABShost, but you can only request a membership, you can't just simply join. ABShost has unlimited bandwidth, over 20Gb of storage, no ads, and a bunch of other stuff... but they haven't contacted me yet.

If you know any good free web hosting sites, please let me know.
