| Alright, just a little constructive criticism: The first one is nice. I'm digging the colors, and your weak attempt at the traditional 'trendwhore' styling. Nothing flows as far as the pixel art. Moreover on that, you have this 3D render (made by you?) which has potential to look sweet, all these smooth flowing textures and shapes. Then, you throw over some strong black pixel art over top of it. I love pixel art, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't belong in this piece. The four-arrow image? The weird little pixel-text-box? The binary? I could live with the stuff on the left, and even the little diagonal-filled squares on the right, and *possibly* the little edge-piece angled arrows. With a gorgeous 3D render like that, you need to focus on fading and blending, not clear and defined stuff. It's all about smooth transitions. Try working with some layer masks and maybe even download some brushes; http://www.dubtastic.com and http://www.angryblue.com (both owned by eFriends of mine) have some nice brush sets. You should look into that. The text actually fits, and the font as well as the reflection fit the image well, giving it depth and focus to the image itself. Overall, a good attempt and still can be made sweet, with a little changing. The second image is not all that bad. Small, sleak, and simple with a stylish twist. The text fits accordingly to the image, and it doesn't look cluttered or overdone. The plastic effect was a nice touch for the futuristic look, and it didn't look like you were trying *too* hard to make it look 'pretty'. Out of the two, I look the second one. As I said, they both have potential to be sweet, just as any piece can. It's just the matter of skill and artistic freedom which leads to good works. | ||

| Thanks for the comments so far guys. ![]() To clear things up the thing ure voting on is the 1st one, the other one is my sig (i had to upload it somewhere, lol) I made it a 1am this morning and it was my first attempt at any abstract-tech fusion style art i see on loads of graphics sites. in my sig the plasticy effect is what it tried to do on the banner but i didn't quite get it right 1st time, lol. i'm gonna look at some tutorials and stuff and also when the banner is in place with the flash navigation, background etc. keep on voting and i may do another soon | ||
