| Well... I'm getting anxious knowing that decisions from my top schools are probably now in my same state. Instead of just pacing and constantly visiting the schools' websites, I decided to do what I normally do to waste time (such as procrastinating papers). The first is something we're all familiar with, with a bit of a different twist. I've had this keyboard for 5 years now, pardon the wear on the space key. The second is when I was looking for subjects to make a still life. It's not perfect, but still kinda makes me laugh. | ||

I really like the turtle. The low level and the offset of it. Centred focal points are damn boring... for the most part anyways.

err- sorry. This is why I don't take bio. Well, that and things (surgical knives and needles) sticking out of flesh make me squirm. No problems with free flowing blood, though. What use I am I going to get out of disecting a frog!?

| I did some research on the crab and it is actually a Calico Crab, mostly a deep-sea crab. He probably got blown ashore from the storm that happened the day before. The best thing about that shot is I didn't look to take it. I put the camera down and lined up the crab with the lens from a top view and *click*. | ||

| pwrslyd: If you do end up getting the money together for another trip to Brasil, you absolutely MUST make sure you check out the Northeast part of Brasil. Lots of old colonial churches there, nice beaches, and lower prices than in Rio (I saw the sugarloaf / corcovado pic). Another area is the state of Minas Gerais, there is a town there where a local sculptor who was crippled turned out remarkable larger-than-life statues of the prophets... The churches down there are from the colonial time as well, very beautiful and photogenic. Iguassu falls, down by the border with Argentina, that's one that can rival Niagara just about any day... Enough spray in the air to create photographable multiple rainbow circles, as I recall... (Sorry, I grew up down there, so I played the Tour Guide for a second) | ||
