| Well it looks like LM-2 will be getting another wing soon. This is a huge project I'm working on, I may redesign the back end but for now I'll leave you guys with some eye candy Right now it's looking like the body will get a fresh redesign of the back end, I'm going to re-draw the body because it was drawn in AutoCAD R14 which didn't have the shell command so to make a car body you had to make a copy of the body as a solid at .95 scale, which means it isn't the same constant thickness all around. 2000 changed all that, IMHO it's the most major revision of AutoCAD, of course I havent worked on anything pasy 2000 ![]() | ||

| Well there is a reason that AutoCad 3D modeling didn't catch on. Do you use SolidWorks, Inventor, Pro-E or any other 3D modeler? Using one of thoes programs could shave off about 2 months, 3 weeks, and 2 or 3 days from your project schedule. But props for mastering such a complex program. ![]() | ||

| Does the verimatix have a person named neo in it?? j/k Pro-E is the industry standard for all serious industrial design firms. That and alias. I think acad and perhaps verimatrix (dunno tho) are meant for diff purposes from pro-e and alias. Crap even alias and Pro are very different. another thing..does verimatrix have finite element analsysis?? Pro-E does. WOOT -decog disclaimer...I dont' really care, I'm just trying to have a little fun in that "my daddy can beat up yours" way. | ||

good call m3...I am upgrading to winxp pro right now..so i am gonna get the worm buster right away. and j-dogg, dont worry man it's really hard to get hired on CAD skills alone, every freaking body on earth is competing for that now. CAD has become so prominent that there are tons of little kids now growing up geting jobs. and the nurbs thing...cmon..nurbs aren't all that great. I say well placed polygons ans splines are the way to go!! (i respect the nurbs) but they aren't typcally as exact as i need them, considering the nature of them it's to be expected. but word to CAD!! and you'll get a job J dont' worry, just keep practicing and makeing cool stuffs. -decog | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Ugh.....the more detailed this car gets the more I need to upgrade....... And I just upgraded from a K6-2 450 to Duron 1.4, from 256MB PC133 to 512MB DDR400, from a Rage Pro Turbo 8MB to Xpert 2000 32MB, pretty soon I'll get dual-Opteron 248's and I'll whine about those too Here's a little see-through for you kinky guys out there ![]() | ||

| doooooood that front end is friggin PERFECT. leave the new one. can you make a cutout intake below the front 'bumber" area? i dont know about booleans in ACAD i can't remember how to do them. I am going to be biulding dual opterons soon , if this interview goes well tomorrow, I'm interviewing for a CAD/design job tomorrow too. if I get it, I'll be building the mother of rigs!! I definately wont be whining about those! -decog | ||

| This is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. You say you wanted a better top speed up above, I think you could achieve that better by making the front end a little less "snubbed" and maybe making the side panel lines approximately even with the c0ckpit a little straighter rather than pointed inward. Then again, I am not an aerodynamic engineer either so maybe your's is faster. Either way, it looks tight....nice work. | ||

| wow......... ![]() Back end is getting done, project is about 45% complete. Had a neat little idea to make a trunk behind the motor but that may not be such a good idea, all the heat generated from 1000 horses and 9.7 liters of V-12 will melt any chocolates, ice cream, etc. etc. I just realized something, this is a really really long car. How the hell are you supposed to park it in a parking lot without it's ass-end sticking out into the street *drools* | ||

| Update on this little project, been working on the dash some and this is where I am so far. 13,000 rpm tach, 260 mph speedo, redline at 10,500. Some object layers were turned off in this one, like the steering wheel byut you can still see some of the console buttons mounted from the steering wheel.... Shademode pics. | ||
