Default Poll: Rear wing or not?

Well folks, I'm glad to say I'm back to my ol' Masta of AutoCAD self, been 5 months since I have thoroughly done this but it's time to get back and do what I do best: 3D Solid modeling.

Soooooooooo.......this means a new project coming up. See this car in my sig? It's actually a turbine car. It has a very crudely designed turboshaft engine in it, not a true jet engine where it propels the car with thrust.

It needs a piston powerplant, because let's face it, getting up at 6 AM, and waking the neighbors up with that jet engine is begging for noise ordinances in place. Plus turbines are expensive and high-maintenance. I have a motor designed for this car but I just need some input on what to drop and/or add to and from the turbine car.

My big thing is this rear wing. Should I drop it? These pics should help.

Comments, suggestions and bomb threats can be posted in this thread.

EDIT: Who would have thought I would make my 1,700th post on something CAD related geez I have too much free time

looks cool, I would however downsize the side stabilizers on the wing. they are a mite too large. cool DLO though!

I knew decog was lurking in the forums somewhere lol

It's amazing what a difference between 450MHz and 1.4 GHz makes in AutoCAD 2k, my old CAD rig was a K6-2 450 w/256MB SDRAM, now im on 1.4 GHz Duron with 512MB DDR and more DDR coming from Zenn soon.

My first impression would go along with decog's thoughts.
Just downsize the side fins and play with some shapes maybe.

So I went with "Drop the one on it and design another" even though touch up would be more fitting.

I would loose it ,the design is good but it disrups the lines or the over all design

I voted to keep the wing but you have to move it back like Clown said and make it a bit smaller

Also:
I think the tail lights needs some work...they look too big from my perspective...other-wise it looks Kick Ass

Looks great. like everyone said smaller wing. closer to the front.
it has sexy curves up front and a flat ass end though. not that i could ever do anything near as good.

yeah I think it would look much better if it were much smaller, and also if it were above the actual car instead of behind it, but the car still looks awesome.

Make the wing just a little smaller....not much though......get rid of the bubble over the seating area and add some curves to the sides (a little too flat for my tastes.......)

For those who aren't keeping up with the project at hand, this car has been completely redesigned from the chassis up. The new thread is here....

http://forums.pcapex.com/showthread.php?t=13668

Feel free to put in your two cents about both designs, I should have some updates on the other one tomorrow.

As for this one, it will get a new wing and a V-12 instead of the jet turbine in it when the other one is finished

I think the body of the car is too big or the ****pit is too small.
