Hey guys...I need some opinions and suggestions for a new site I'm building.

The company is a corporate holding company for 9 insurance companies. It's basically going to be used for investor relations.

This is the current site:

Much nicer than the old one. The way it is set up is easy on the eyes and everything is easy to find. Good color scheme.

A suggestion: maybe increase the corperate logo size and maybe add some sort of picture to liven it up a little. I know it is a Fiancial service, but a picture might keep it from looking so.....anesceptic.

Good luck with the client.

I feel the same way about the pic...looking for an appropriate one now...

As far as the client goes, I work for them

so I have a very captive audience

They don't want to pay the $3500.00 to get it redone by an outside company, so they're sending me on Dreamweaver courses instead.

I think your new one is awsome - it's well organised and easy to navigate. I think you nailed that one.

A few suggestion from me are:
A.) A short blurb about them on the home page.
B.) More information about the company on the About Us page.
C.) Under Press - I personally would organized it by year and quarter so it has a little bit more eye candy to it.

That is all I have right now - I will get back to you with a few more possible suggestions.

That's much so much nicer than the puke color original. The type on the tabs and logos is a bit fuzzy and hard to read. Perhaps darken it a bit? Or lighten the drop shadow. And definitely increase the leading/kerning so the letters don't run together.

You know how to use flash? Maybe incorporate the company logo in a animated flash. It does look much better tho.

I noticed the same things that AntiM did as far as the header is concerned, looks a little fuzzy and run together. Other than that I like it MUCH better than the original.
Maybe add something to the investors page to make it stand out a bit more?

Your new version looks way better joose.

I got to follow suit with Antim and Godfoot on the text though.
On the drop shadow effect on the text, try playing with the size/spread/distance sliders to make the text pop a little more perhaps.

Thanks for the feedback guys...I really appreciate it - I'm going to clean up those tabs a bit...I think you're right AntiM - it's too much of a shadow...

me2 - sorry, don't know dÃƒÂ¯ck-all about flash...going to take a course on it tho...later...

I tossed the new site over to the guy who commissioned me to do it, he loved it, but he wanted a few changes - a sidebar added, a footer FRAME (oy vey), and some of the tabs removed. He wanted the 'Investor' page removed, and put on the sidebar, because it's supposed to be a site for investors. Take a look now:

(it's beta...some of the tabs lead to the old layout)
