I'm in a hip hop group, we're working on two projects/albums right now:

The Headache EP
The Harleqin's Monologue

I need some cool, abstract, original artwork for both the album cover, and inside.

Here is some more information to work with and get ideas from. Explanations of the albums really:

Headache EP is basically a mood. All the beats will be very noisy, lots of static, angry, paranoid. Y'know, looking for clarity amidst a migraine of information, trying to find yourself, trying to think clearly, trying to maintain in life... the troubles, the opression, the depression... you get the picture.

The Harlequins Monologue is basically (google image for Harlequin if you aren't familiar with the word) ...well a Harlequin is like the jesting comedic character everyone laughs at in a show, never given any lines, only ever given small parts, never taken seriously. Y'know, the masked character, almost hiding behind the mask, the sad clown... ignored. Now a monologue is a given speech, a chance to express and articulate yourself... like every dog has his day, and the album is this dog's day, his chance to speak. Not a chance given so much as a chance taken - The Harlequin went skitso and stole the show - Harlequin's Monologue.

how abstract are you looking for..ive got a lotta abstract photos...but i could do a painting of sorts too...

I figured I'd try my hand at this. This first one was just something I tried out. It's not exactly the kind of abstract you linked to, but it's what I wound up with after a while.



Side note: The starting image was some speaker wire I had.

I've got a photographer friend if you have any particular ideas for a starting image for either of the two albums.

EDIT: Just realized I've got two of 'em.

Just make it pink.

I'd just take milosh's speaker wire photo

Drop some heavyweight sans serif text in white

and call done

Ok I have a guy working on a drawing of a guy clutching his head, and there will be various background images blended, that represent his thoughts, stresses, and troubles in life, like the things he's trying to decipher and understand i.e. an unopened letter from a girlfriend, flags representing politics, a coffin (death) something for religeon, and so fourth...

I will post the piece when he has done a quick sketch which someone may be able to work with.

They are hip hop albums; abstract, underground, not bling-bling hip hop materialistic waste music and as such I'm looking for an almost old, classic, abstract feel... nothing too digital.
