Default Converting to Vector

I'm looking for a good tutorial, if anyone knows of one, for manually converting bitmaps to vector... or if someone could teach me on AIM if it wouldn't take too long... or if someone actually feels like converting a photo for me, would be cool..

What is it that you want converted? And what do you want it to look like?

I can do Illustrator, but I don't like it really. Photoshop for me is far more intuitive, kinda sucks that you have to do all print logos in Illustrator.

It's basically a picture of a room... I just need it to be changed into the usual vector-like image but don't want to use some crappy converter..

A raster based image will never look as good as a native vector based image FOR SCALING PURPOSES. Once you blow them up you can see the pixellation.
If you are just after a cool effect, that is another thing entirely
