Default What is the best and easy to use program for Picture editing

Im looking for a Photo program that is easy to use. Im new at this so i need some thing verry user friendly. Im going to be using it for editing pictures like adding a logo to them as well as removing logos, also cuting or crimping around the picture lowering the resolution. And verry important cleaning up the backround of the picture so it's nice and white when i take pictures of products with my camera there is glare or some times a pinkish rim around the pictuure so i need to clean that up, Basically it's for posting pictures online in a web site that sort of thing any one have any suggestions.

Some one gave me a copy of photo shop pro once but it was to hard to use. I could not figure it out.

Paint Shop Pro is pretty cheap, and targeted at a more mainstream market, but if you say you've already tried that, and couldn't work out how to use it....

Well...Adobe Photoshop CS3 is the absolute best option, although it costs around £500 and is not really for beginners. So perhaps you could check out Photoshop Elements? It's designed for beginners at photo-editing and only costs around £50.

Another alternative is GIMP...an open source (therefore free) piece of software designed as a photoshop alternative. Check it out here: GIMP - About GIMP

No problem. If you end up with Photoshop and need some help, I've been using it for five years, so give me a shout.

Here is what they have @ a local store close to where i live normally i would order through the net but since i need it fast i will stop by in person.

They have the elemnts fron adobe photo shop and also the Corel Paint Shop Pro ikm going to take your advice and buy the Elements for beginers it's such a waste i have a photo shop pro that was given to me theye told me it was worth about 300.00 and you paid 500 euro wow.

I cant find it righ no but when i do i will give it to some one who can make good use of it.

This is really what i am going to be doing im not a profesional web or graphic desighner or anything like that Im looking for something easy to use that can do the following.

I will take a picture with my digital cmera upload to my pc crimp\cut around the photo close to the image and clean it up so it has a nice white backround and blends nice with my web site.

Or some times i get images from manufactures and they need a little work or they have a tag with the manufacture name or distributor and i need to remove it.

also i would like to start taging my images with my company name for advertising purposes

so thats about it cuting, taging, removing tags, cleaning up, and if the program has the function for puting a nice frame on my product pictures maybe i will you that feature.

Here is the link to best buy on the top is the 3 programs they have
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....oftware&ks=960

Im almost sure this is it 50 euro is almost 100 us dolars.

You mean pounds, not euros, but yeah, $100 is equivalent right now to £50.

As for Elements, I'm not sure about the adding tags thing - I'm pretty sure Photoshop CS will batch watermark images for you with whatever you want, but Elements probably doesn't have this feature. If you're only processing small numbers of images, then that won't be a problem, as you can simply copy and paste your tags into the photos. As for frames, I've never actually used Elements, but i'm thinking it probably does them because of it's mass market target.

Sorry about the currency mixup..

I got the Ements im getting ready to install it soon I will let you know how it works. It's also compatible for Vista Im currently on XP PRO but my next build will have Vista so thats nice and I do not see anything mentioned on the box about tags jhowever i does show framed witch will be usefull in the future and hopefilly it's got the log and text thing im pretty sure it does it would be a plus but i would be happy just to be able to do the picture editing and enhancing for now.

Thank you for all your great advice i prob. would have gotten the wrong program..
