Good, free CAD software?

I'm looking into doing some modding and I think it'd be a good idea if I got some software to test new designs and whatnot, but I don't want to spend a lot of money on really good software that I probably won't use to its full potential. I just need a nice, clean program that lets me draw nicely detailed 2D images, nothing special.

Yeah, I downloaded it a bit before you posted it. It's a good program but I think it's a bit more advanced for me.
