Since we all know that rada is the god of graphics on PR (and if you disagree then your just jelous!! )

anyways, I'm making this thread so that anyone that has questions about any elements of graphic deisgn can ask of his extreme wisdom in here

Now to show you how this is done I'm going to ask rada a question. I figured I might as well make a thread so other people that might have had the same question can get some learning in as well

I would like to learn how channels work in photoshop. I have no idea wtf they are for or how they are used. Every tutorial I read says channels this channels that. I'm totally lost when it comes to channels.

Did you ask him if he would want to have a Thread like this where he is answering question after question after question.

What about the Other Graphic Guys? Maybe One Question Per Thread Might Be Nice, so we don't all have to go thru numerous questions to get one answer. I think that's how threads work, use the title and do searches...am I missing something/

he asked me before starting it. im just here to help. granted i have a job, and i wont be able to instantly answer everyone's question, but maybe each week i can make a tutorial that answers a few of the questions brought up in this thread.

radakast....what does everything in Photoshop do? And how does it work?

sw0nald, before i jump into channels, im going to do a quick tutorial about Levels, and Curves. kinda like a prerequisit to channels. im putting it together right now. should be up by tomarrow morning.

if anyone wants a question answered about graphics, there are many other graphical pimps that can answer them. this should not be limited to one person or one thread.

besides, redheaven can show radakast up any day.

ya know...its pretty easy to just... not open a thread. whats the big deal guys? i was asked to post photoshop help, its not a competition. pimprig doesnt belong to me and im not trying to take over the graphic pimp status from anyone. if sw0nald wants help, i would rather post it so i could link to it in the future. is that so bad that its worth giving us a hard time about it.
im relitively new here, and im trying to be nice, but who cares what a thread is about, if someone learns something than its worth doing. what right do you have to fuss at me gorked. make redhaven his own thread. i dont care. its not about seniority, its about helping sw0nald, or anyone who has questions.

if you want to talk to duck and tell him to move the thread, or soemthing, by all means, feel free to drop this one into "Anything Goes", or make a new one called "pathetic attempts at self rightiousness". it really doesnt matter. just quit nagging me.

radakast...I not sure, but I think you and others have taken my post the wrong way. Maybe a little clarification:

- Asking questions is Good and that's what PR is about
- Sharing you knowledge is a very nice thing for you to do
- I was trying to suggest having individual threads based on your "How-To's" or "Instructionals". Ie...radakast teaches Levels, radakast teaches Curves, etc. (This would make it real easy to link to and real easy for us to follow.)
- They do not belong is "anything goes"...this is the perfect place for this
- sw0nald I think is real excited to learn about this stuff, and I think that's a good thing
- I'm interested in learning also, just not having to go thru one thread that ends up being 20 pages to refer back to one thing you said

Well 10 posts in and its already turned foul.

Graphics Corner is a great place to ask questions and discuss uh...Graphics...lol...Theres always Google too for some guidance.

I think it was more how the thread was introduced is why it didnt go over well guys...Some may feel prayer should be done a little more privately.

Keep the tutorials or how-to's seperate to ease everyones browsing.

If Rad, or anyone else with some skills would like to write some up, I'd gladly read thru them. I try to read thru as many as can find as it is...lol

Yes, and I also appologize for focusing this thread directly on rada. I was a little caught up in the moment and too excited. (nothing out of the ordinary to me ) but anyways I just wanted to ask radakast a question and have it publicly displayed for all to read. I'm sure alot of ppl will learn from it.

I'm sure rada wouldn't have any complaints with anyone else jumping in to lend sugestions.
