| Well, after 2 years, the eject button on my DVD-ROM drive has gotten a little sticky, the tray wont stay ejected unless i do it though the OS. So anyway, without having to go to My computer>E>Eject every time, is there some keyboard shortcut i could map to one of my G15's G Keys? | ||

I was doing some checking around with my G15 and i can not seem to find a way to get a shortcut to any of my dvd roms through the G15 profiler. The only thing i know that works is a shortcut on your desk top, the only other thing i could suggest is buy a cheap new one, you can get some cheap ones here at ZipZoomFly with free shipping or check out Newegg. I wish i could help you out more but these are my suggestions to you for now unless someone knows a better way. I think it is better that you just buy a cheap new DVD rom then your problem is solved, if i had any extra DVD roms laying around i would be more then happy to sell you one cheap or give you one, but as of right now i am using them all. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Sempr0n? | Google came up with this - a program that lets you assign shortcuts for all sorts of Windows functions. Haven't tried it yet, but I think it might be what you're looking for. It specifically mentions being able to run an 'eject media' command. Skynergy - HotKeyz | |

| IM not sure how the hotkeys on the G15 work, but, I know you can assign hotkeys to shortcuts on the desktop, there are some really small programs that will open and close drives, with a few parameters, I think the parameters would look something like, the drive letter, and if you'd like it opened, or closed but, I don't know how the hotkeys on the G15 work, so, Im not sure if you'd be able to assign a hotkey to the shortcut, well, one that isn't like, control, and some other key | ||

| Yes it is possible as there are keyboards out there with keys to do this. Since it is likely driver-related though, I am not sure how to go about it. Doing some searching now, but I will be going out this evening before too long so won't have much search time in. | ||
