Your CPU is able to run it-

Wether or not you think that OS will benifit you, is your desission. I havent played around with that OS much so i couldnt realy lend you any advice in that field.

With 64bit oses... Don't do it unless you have to... It will probably install fine, but then you are gonna find yourself in driver hell.

I tried it... Scary.

Well I'm having good luck now with win X64.
But 6 months ago when I bought it was a complete drivers hell.
It refused to run alot of apps and would bsod on my game rig

So I installed it on my net machine instead with no problems.
Theres plenty of antivirus and firewall software out now for it so at least that issue is gone.

If It's a gaming rig , stay with regular XP instead of wasting money on X64 now.
Save your pennies for Vista,although i'm sure there will be issues there too...

well i think ill stick with 32 bit but i gunna tri it on my old p4 519 processor but dont know if it has em64t can anyone help me with that

wait for Vista if you want to go 64bit, it the first 'Fully' fledged 64bit windows, XP x64 was more of a 'fun thing'
