Are you having problems? Why do you want to mess with your IRQ's? If it ain't broke, don't break it!

BTW - welcome to pimprig...

I would...you could be opening a can o' worms you don't really want to deal with...especially with Win98

Well, that can't be said for everything or we wouldn't have a mod site here, but pimp_joose ain't steering you wrong here. IRQ problems in Win98 are a royal PITA (pain in the arse).

Welcome to PR

I know exactly what you are trying to do.

Perform the following steps;
Step 1: Hit Alt+F4 a couple of hundered times and let us know what happens

Step 2: Find your registry and delete all of it.... yes all of it... that should help quite bit

Step 3: Take your PC and throw it out of a window on the 5th floor to see if it is impact resistant. No really this step might seam dangerous but it is very neccessary to solve your issues

Step 4: Go to the Project Feedback forum and start another thread. Call it "building a new PC". There members can help you build a new pimp rig with a new hard drive and win XP as the OS.

OR

You can simply listen to previous advice and not mess with it.

The choice is yours. Do you prefer the blue pill or the red pill?
