Default TCP/IP settings for 2 networks???

Hi,

This question is for the wireless PC that is the furthest away from the wireless router.

I have 2 wireless networks at home.
All but 1 pc connects to the 'A' network but this remote PC has to use a static IP address ie 192.168.1.6 to connect. And the 2nd network 'B' is a backup (using a different iprange 192.168.0.6), and is only used if 'A' isnt running well, or if there is too much lag/packet loss. This uses a dynamic ip address.

So the question is: How do i set up my TCP/IP settings so that it will use the right settings automatically depending on which network its connecting to? I dont think this does it automatically.

Thanks

under XP, cant you just set the secondary, dynamic network up as second in the list of preferred networks under wireless zero configuration?

i have never had to use it so i dont know how well it works, and i amin no situation to test the theory, but it would seem to make sense...considering authentication information is stored in connection settings (in the "order of preferred networks), seems like all you would have to do is connect to the network in question, and set your system up appropriately, it would only make sense that a static ip / dynamic ip config would be stored as well....[/rampant speculation]

At the moment i do use the Dlink network utility to select /change which AP it connects to, however as the IP Address changes from 192.168.1.X to 192.168.0.X or vice versa, i have to go into the network connections and disable the NIC and then enable it again for it to switch over.

In XP, if both networks let me use dynamic settings i would be fine, but as the primary network is using a wifi repeater, i need to have a static IP for it. (hence the problem)
