Ok i just got XP pro and i feel like changing the theme already, what program do you guys use to change your desktop theme?

I use style xp. Go to www.themexp.org . They have a link to the site. Its not free but I think its the best. You do get a 30 day free trial. PM me if you have any questions.

Download StyleXP which will enable you to use new system themes and visual styles, and those can be found here.

Place all visual styles you download and extract from zip's into "C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes" then to load them, open StyleXP, GoTo Visual Styles tab, and select the visual style by clicking "add a new style"

BTW, Check your PM's

Don't just change your theme change your shell. It's not free but it's wayyy better than the Windows Explorer shell, and DeviantArt has a bunch of themes for it already.

Thats another add on. One of them is call y'dock I believe. It looks like the dock on OSX. Im not sure what that one is thought in the pic.

I use a UXTHEME.DLL replacement myself...Allows you to use the Visual Styels without Style XP

I actually worked on a computer not too long ago with 3.11, It took me awhile to remember where everything was.

I use WindowBlinds...It works for me, I found a theme and modified it slightly.

I learnt how to use a computer using 3.11. Well before that there was some dos based stuff and I remember having to use a cassette to load programs. But I think I would be too confused on a 3.11 like setup.

I hated everything from 3.11 to Win Me... then finally Win 2000 i could tolerate... and then Win XP I enjoy using... I guess it could only get better after the disaster that was Win Me.

this is the one i use, this is the version before tgt made you pay for it. just install the theme and choose it from your display properties menu, if you have any questions, let me know.

on the subject of fav OS's, 98 SE, man, what a great ride! used since it came out until June 2003, great times...
