| When i boot up my 98 machine i get a screen that tells me the file nwlink.vxd is either missing or corrupt or some crap like that, someone messed with the computer and then it started ro happen. it boots into windows fine and all but you have to press a key to get past the screen where it tells you that and im sick of it. anyone know whats wrong cause im stumped | ||

| Reinstall norton or if you did uninstall Norton on purpose then click start--run--type regedit--ok. Then doubleclick on each of these: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\current control set\services\vxd After you doubleclick the VXD key you'll see a SYMEVNT key on the list underneath. Delete the SYMEVNT key then close regedit. That should remove the error. | ||
