| would anyone know how i can turn these instrutions: 1. Click Start - Run - Type “regedit” and press enter. 2. Navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Setup] HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software \Microsoft \Windows \CurrentVersion \Setup 3. In the right pane, Right-click and select New - String value 4. Name it as “BootDir” and set its value to “C:\” into a .reg batch file? i dont know if thats the right name for it, but im talking about those .reg files where ou just double click them and it applies the registry for you. anyone know how to make those? thanks. | ||

| Slaymate is right you can just export after making the changes. But it will also take the information for all the other keys at the same level. So if you don't need to change the rest you can safely delete everything else in the file except for these lines: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Setup] "BootDir"="C:\\" Also if you need to run any .reg file in a login script and want it to run without the "are you sure prompt" and /s after the command and it will run silently. | ||
