How to get rid of the Wild Tangent Control Panel?

I hate wild tangent and there is no sign of it in my registry or in my program files. My question is...how do I get rid of the wild tangent icon and file that its run by located in the below pic? I have searched my comp and cant fidn any sign of wil tangent andwhere but that thing is there in the control panel. Any help would be appreciated.

I always use shredder programs for that crap. Nortons has one there has to be a few shareware on www.zdnet.com downloads

Use Spybot to get rid of crap like that and Spyware Blaster to make sure none of that gets on your comp in the first place.
THere are alot of links under spybot and they are actually more spyware proggees so heres one from download.com Spybot Sand D
Wild tangent , you probably got that off AIM , its how i got it when I went to play one of the games they have in their latest AIM I had to d/l wild tangent

God I hate SpyWare, I use adAware Pro seems to get rid of the problem also norton 2004 has a spyWare killer to it finds them and gives you the extentsions to kill them. Well good luck with wild BAR.

I have used both spybot and ad-aware and they havent found that one file. Also the file is from the newest version of aim which I have already uninstalled. I tried using the wipe prog with norton but you can drag that file into the box. Like I stated before all the spyware is gone but just that oen file is there. Its like when you have a prog uninstalled but its still in the add/remove menu you know? Damn the new aim!

I would recomend uninstalling your new version of aim and install an older version or trill if you have to have AIM.

That might get rid of it? Never know till you try.

Aim is already uninstalled and I am using trillian. But while we are on the aim topic. You know where I can find a older version of aim?

I figured out how to get rid of the icon.

Please Note: If the Wildtangent Control Panel icon still appears in the Windows Control Panel, you may need to search your computer's hard drive for any occurance of the files "wtcpl.dll" and "wtcpl.cpl" and remove it. This occassionally occurs when an older version of the Web driver was partially removed.

Thats from the wildtangent website. So if anyone else has this same issue this shoudl resolve it.

www.olderversion.com or here have older versions of software if you still want to install a un-adware-version of AIM.

I know its been an issue with the most recent version. How far back I'm not sure but I'll not a real fan of AOL or its AIM.

Removing it is easy..ad-aware and spybot are a given just removing that icon was the issue.

Lokie...I liek aim cuz you can send shti to your friends really easily...u kno of maybe any other prog that you could do that with? Like make a direct connection and send some pics then can disconnect.
