| I saw this somewhere but I cant remember where. I installed dr divx and its total crap but it still comes up when I right click on movies and other files. How do I delete it from the list? Here is a pic of what I mean. | ||

| I would suggest the same as aaron, or try an app like RegCleaner perhaps. I've had Dr.DivX installed/uninstalled a few times without it ever leaving any orphan entries though. On a sidenote like corrupt asked, what did you not like about the program? I've used it (aided by SmartRipper) to make some excellent backups myself. | ||

| I used it and it made a horrible copy of my dvd. All distorted and horrible qaulity and it just skipped back and fourth. I have used regseeker to search for it but no go. I know there is a way to do this but I just forgot how. If someone has any info please let me know. | ||

I believe if you read closely, every post about copying included the words "my dvd's", and I myself did say "backups". ![]()

Unfortunately, what he needs to remove isn't in the "New" submenu so tweakui won't help.... through it is a great tool. Another way to remove it would be the following: 1) open a folder, any folder will do 2) click on "tools" in the menu and select "folder options..." 3) select the "file types" tab. Now do the following for each multimedia file type: 4) select a multimedia file type from the list, such as MPG 5) click on the "Advanced" button below 6) in the new window are MPG specific context menu items. delete as needed! This won't always work though. This method only shows entries from a couple of the possible places in the registry where a context menu may be specified. If this doesn't do the trick, I think you're stuck with regedit. Good Luck! ![]()
