Default Reinstall OS - does the order matter??

Ive ready many places that the order you install your OS and drivers makes a difference. Tomorrow my new Raptor will be here to replace my slow piece of 5400 rpm hard drive. Whats the order you install your stuff in. Im using Windows XP home......I have all the latest drivers downloaded on another drive ready for install.

After I install. I run a quick defrag then install Mobo drivers. Restart, defrag, video drivers. I continue on in order of importance and defrag after each driver install.

I install Windows followed by all Windows updates. Then the motherboard drivers followed by the videocard drivers then all the rest.

I have been installing in this order.....

Win XP
Mobo drivers
Video drivers
Windows Updates
all other software.....

I am grinning ear to ear waiting for the raptor.........does anyone have experience with SATA and Intel 865 based mobo. Ive read a few places on the net that because its built into the chipset on the mobo I wont even need to press F6 and have the SATA drivers. Anyone confirm this??

I do the Hawklen routine myself. Seems to work best for me.
