Win XP Updates without WGA

Has anyone else checked this out? Looks extremely useful for those of us who *cough* hate Microsoft's own spyware, otherwise known was WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage).

I use this site for all my Win XP updates.

The updates get posted a few weeks after they actually come out but I have never had a problem with it. It is essentially Windows Update for FireFox.

i like autopatcher because it has a LOT of tweaks built in to enhance windows...

good linkage though..

hehe yup.

its been posted on here a couple of times.

One thing i love about the program, is that it can be scripted to run from a command line!

Since I don't use any Torrent software, I tried GlitterKill's method.
Worked flawlessly (with exception of a couple of updates not wanting to "stick") on a temporary TinyXP install to test out a new (to me) 939 mobo w/ Opty 146.

well all you need to do is going into ->Control Panel->automatic updates & choose;
Notify me but don't automatically download or install them & you're done

then when updates come up you choose Custom then you check for any genuine advantage
& you uncheck them but keep the rest of the updates & you'll be able to have all the updates without the WGA installed.

I'm sure yall have heard of MU Blinder. I have used that for a while and it works great for me. I don't know if its "legit" and what-not but...It works.
