Now that my server is up and running in excellent condition I was wondering if we could do a Pimps and Players Night Out? Sometime toward the end of May so you all have time to get good, and not suck....

The server has a few custom maps and I'm going to try to add some more stuff to it to make it fun, and if anyone can PLEASE find me the DEEMERDOOM map, the map with all Redeemers, I am begging you PLEASE someone find that map, I have a HUGE rep hit for the first person that can find it, I've been looking all over for it.

This is more or less in preparation for the June 28th Florida Pimps LAN to see if the server can handle a multitude of players.

I'll probably be tearing it up on J-dogg's Server tonight.. in fact I'm going to post up a steam event for some random UT2k4 Play tonight, with J-dogg's permission of course. I'm just itchin' for some good UT2k4!

K here is what is going to happen. Apparently my server DL's maps to others at roughly the speed of molasses. So once I finalize the maplist I will post links to the maps in the mapcycle for download, they are all downloaded from the Internet.

Not the "DeemerDoom" you were looking for (or maybe one of them is), but the descriptions seem to indicate that Redeemers are sprinkled very liberally throughout both maps...

I'm currently running ubuntu on a "hot spare" PC that I had to emergency use for my good ole 20GB OS drive BSODed and won't boot on my daily driver.

Thus why I don't use my gamin rig for daily use. And thus why It"s in my basement vs the third floor (I'm almost positive the heat killed that drive).

Anyway, I'll keep checking this thread for game nights.

No worries, glad to help... I am a bit frustrated that my Googleicious tricks did not yield the actual "Deemerdoom" map you were after, though...

K I added the second one in the list (RedeemerSniperHeaven) to the mapcycle, and removed some of the ghey maps that take forever to DL and are too big for 8 - 10 players.

I found a map that is actually a game of pong and you shoot the ball back and forth between the other players and you can kill people with the ball but I think you need two players to make it work.

RedeemerSniperHeaven is pretty fun, I played it a bit with the Bots on the server, I think it would be more fun if there was more deemers being fired, but the bots seem more interested in fighting then picking up the weapons lol.

yeah, all they wanna do is fight, I need to find that Deemerdoom, if I don't find it I'm going to make it, and it isn't hard to make if you know UT2004 maps, I remember the layout to this day because we played the hell out of it at LAN parties.

Just get a redeemer only mutator?

I used to use them all the time.

UT3 you can change any weapon to a Redeemer with the weaponchoice mutator, which I think is fricken awesome.

Wish I could play, I'll be working 8-5 tomorrow and then out with the woman after that.

Redeemer Mayhem (replaces powerups with Redeemers)
SlowMotion corpses
Super Beserk (weapons are insanely fast and powerful)
