GameCube / Wii Hardware Seems as though Nintendo has lost some of their gamers to Sony's and Microsoft's edgier systems. Can the Wii help?

Post Overclock Your Nintendo DS

Yes, that is right! A tutorial has been written on how to OC your Nintendo DS (Do at your own risk). Only one slight little problem, it is written in Chinese or Japanese. But here I have also supplied the Google Translate page to help out.

Overclock Nintendo DS (Again do at your own risk)

There are just some things that just don't need to be overclocked....

A nintendo DS is one of them

Nah, I'm not into overclocking my consoles at all. I'll overclock my PC in a heart beat though, because it's easy and doesn't really require me to you know...remove a lot of stuff.

Don't know though... i've just never had an interest in overclocking consoles because it really doesn't accomplish much and causes more problems than anything...

For example, on the video that the guy made for his tutorial it actually sped up the entire game of Mario 64 DS...not just the loading, but everything...the sounds, movement, and voices. Sure it ran faster, but i didn't like the whole fact that the WHOLE game run about twice as fast as normal.

Oh well... . I probably didn't need to explain myself, but what can I say....I'm a post whore whose trying to get back up past your post count Foe

I wouldn't want to harm my poor DS -- it's too good to me!

But it kills your battery life, which is quite important with graphing calculators.

Same with the PSP when I OC mine to 333 it drains the battery FAST!! (its actually not OC'n it but I turn it up to 333 on certain homebrew games. right now the psp is only running on 222 tops, someday they will use the full 333 that its meant to run on!)

Prove it....I have almost ALL the latest titles that have came out and when I run devhook I have it set on 222, not one of them have been able to run on 333. Not being a smartass, no-it-all, I just want to know which ones you think or can prove are running at that speed.

Well I recently played monster hunter and tried to rip it so I could overclock it to 333mhz. Well after I did so I overclocked it to 333mhz with a loader it ran at the exact speed. The load times were the same, ect ect.

If you are using the newest devhook then that explains why they wont work, 45 doesnt currently support 333mhz, use .44 and lower if you need full speed.

I most of them wont open using .44 when trying to run at 333. I went to .45 for about a day and switched back.

As much as I love to tinker and OC my machines, I don't think I could bring myself to mess with a brand new DS or DS Lite.

Exactly!! V_Z! Too many dangers can come from O/C a games console in my mind...

Personally I do not OC my PC, so even if I had a console I would not OC it either.
