Fusion IO announces monster SSD for gamers

Fusion IO, which has made a name for itself with high-performance SSDs for the enterprise segment, preps its first consumer SSD – which promises to be more than twice as fast as the fastest SSDs on the market today. So after we drop $400-1000 on video card(s), and another grand on Quad Core Extreme Edition CPUs, they want us to drop a grand on an 80gb SSD so that my CoD maps can load a little faster? Or so that level changes in single player games will take 15sec instead of 45sec or a minute?

Um, nice, but no thanks.
