that could be the same excuse Microsoft got. But, i'm telling you now....without a dedicated onboard 'PS2/PS1' chip, you're not going to get full BC. Same thing with the 360. Lots of games 'run' on it, but that doesn't necessarily mean they run well.
Of course, I really don't think BC is that big of a deal for the PS2, 360, or PS3....once a good chunk of games come out (like now for the 360) I don't play the old games anymore. And, if I really really wanted to, I'd just pull out my old systems.
Oh well. I was just under the impression that the PS3 was goign to have embedded chips to enable its BC, ala the PS2...however, it looks like I was wrong.
