| The more stuff they say is going to come with it...the more and more i believe its going to get towards the 700-1000 plataeu for the "full experience" Tivo like controls? Yeah, thats great and all...but you'll have to pay a subscription to that...because the television industry doesn't like anything that you can fast-forward through commercials with. Plus, you're either going to need a huge hard drive for on-demand HD movies to either stream to or save to. A 1080p movie can get up to 35+GBs. I'm still going to stick with the Xbox 360, and possibly the Revolution (because it will be so cheap). I just don't like the idea that Sony is developing, which they stated early last year. "The PS3 will be expensive, we want our consumers to think that they've 'earned' the right to purchase it by working long hours for it." I thought the Xbox360 was tapping out on the expensive side (so did my fiance...) but I really think that Sony will unveil the PS3 for at least 500-700 for a "core" system and to get the full experience you'll have to buy the accessories that will push the "cost" of the system well over $1000, with maybe one game. I paid, in total...about $600 for my "complete" system. 1 extra controller, 3 games (one free), and 2 play and charge kits. I'm excited about this next generation in gaming, because it only benefits us, the gamers, when companies duke it out...but if Sony follows their "elitist" attitude and stand by the "gamer will pay anything for our product" i feel they are going to be sorely mistaken. | ||

| The only thing I wish companies would start doing, is pay more attention to the games they develop instead of gimicky tack-ons. Is a DVR functionality nice? Sure, but I have a DVR already through DirecTV (that cost a helluva lot less). Is a unified music downloading system nice? Sure, but I can already stream my music from my PC to the 360. And you know Sony, they'd probably make it so it was digitally signed by them before you can play them on the PS3. Sony makes lots, and lots of claims (Toy Story graphics anyone?) and those acclaimed features always seem to dissappear. I'm hoping Sony does make good on some promises, because that only means it'll drive M$ to do that much better. But, in the online arena, sadly to say. Sony has a long way to go. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither was XBOX Live. Thats going to take a major undertaking and lots of $$ from Sony to match what M$ has. If they can do it, all the power to them. But, I'll stick with the Xbox 360 now ![]() | ||
