So how did you come to have your game name?

I use Spectrum, because though I'm an easy going guy, if you can do whatever it takes to get me pissed, I'll go into bat from hell mode. I range the Spectrum.

I was a ****y SOB when I graduated high school and was about to move on to college. I was ****y because I was pretty good at running and I wanted an online name to reflect that...so..

NC = Newberry College (where I graduated from college)
XC = the abbreviation for Cross Country
Stud = I was a stud (not so much anymore, lol)

So, ncxcstud. NC has never, and will never stand for North Carolina, Non-Combative, etc...It's Newberry College...my blood runneth Scarlet and Gray, get it right!

Graaille -- I've been using this name for 16 years now, it's origins are shrouded in mystery and darkness. (i.e. I can't remember) I do remember that when I came up with the name, I was trying to create a character on a MUD, and the first few names I thought of had already been taken -- so I dropped back and thought of how I could change an uncommon name to an even more uncommon name. So far I haven't come across a site that had a login where anyone else was using that name -- and I really hope not to.

Well my screen name got invented quite easily. However, it was initially suppose to be used for my Photoshop projects, but I thought the name was so pretty that I migrated it to my gaming world.

Zenphic is made up of two words: Zen and Graphic. First, I choose Zen because I wanted something a bit oriental in my name and Zen was the only word that popped in my mind. For those who don't know, Zen is a form of Buddhism that emphasizes enlightment through meditation and insight. Second, I chose Graphic because, well, like I said this was suppose to be my Photoshop screen name!

Take Zen and Graphic, squish them together and what you got is me, Zenphic. Uber funky eh?:afro:

My online/gaming name is a variant of a name that i read in either a David Eddings or Terry Brooks book a long time ago. I chucked the number 9 on it for a little flavor and, as with Graaille, i've been able to use it wherever i want.

I got FeRaL from when Wolverine went FERAL after he lost his Adamantium... He was wild and pretty much indestructable.

I also use Dangerous Dick Cheyney or Shotgun Dick Cheyney in CSS... I thought it was just weird how he could unload his shotgun into a lawyer and not get prosecuted for it. 8D

I go by lobey on most of the games I play. When I was in high school, a guy I worked with called me Lobey Won Kenoby ( based on Obi Won Kenobi ) one day beause of the Star Wars craze that was going on. He wrote on it a piece of paper and taped it to my work shirt. I eventually changed it to lobey_one_kanoby, and that turned into just lobey.

The part "lobey" was derived from my earlobes being pierced and stretched out to a large size.

I came by Hobbie nearly 5 years ago. It started out as Wedge, the famous pilot from Star Wars. In every game I played and for all the nicknames I wanted to have, I had i wanted to be known as Wedge.
The first time I played an online game, a MUD named Merentha, Wedge was taken. So I did some digging for other Rogue Squad names that might work and found I hated the names Tycho and Wes but Hobbie was perfect. Hobbie was one of the 4 primary pilots from Rogue Squad but he seldom spoke and always had a witty retort when he did. I speak entirely too often but i would like to believe that i maintain a healthy sarcastic wit. From that moment on i forgot all about Wedge and started using Hobbie, and it was perfect.
It was perfect becuase No one used it, (until BF2, but more on that later) no one knew of it it fit perfectly and beyond all else i have more then a few hobbies in real life.
So Hobbie it was and so it shall remain, unless someone else takes it such as in BF2. So when those situations arrive i merely use Hobbie's last name. Klivian. And anyone who knows the name Klivian must know of Hobbie.

I'm Vertical_Zer0 because I have always been a screw up in math - you know how vertical lines on a Cartesian coordinate system are of the equation y = 0? Well for some reason I always got it backwards and thought x = 0 meant a vertical graph; therefore I chose this name to remind myself that x = 0 is in fact a horizontal line and that I truly am an idiot in math.
