| Next week GlitterKill, Froggiegirl and myself head to Los Angeles for this years E3. There I will be working to accomplish many great things for GameApex, and GlitterKill will be doing the same for PCApex. Both sites will be getting news, pictures ( yes, booth babes), and other information updates daily. Rob was kind enough to setup this new section just for my updates. So keep a watch on this all next week, and you will know all the latest on what is coming to the gaming industry. For a bit of background here is a little basic E3 information for you. What is E3? The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), "Where Business Gets Fun," is the world's premiere trade event exclusively dedicated to showcasing interactive entertainment and educational software and related products. E3 2006 will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from May 10 – 12. Conferences are held May 9 – 11 and the show floor is open May 10 – 12. The worldwide annual focal point for the computer and video game industry, E3 draws tens of thousands of professionals to experience the future of interactive entertainment. The most influential people leading the most innovative companies in the business attend E3 to showcase and see groundbreaking new technologies and never-before-seen products for computers, video game consoles, handheld systems and the Internet. Show attendees also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of learning workshops and conferences focused on the specific interests and educational needs of professionals in the interactive entertainment business. In 2006, approximately 400 exhibiting companies representing 80 countries will converge on the Los Angeles Convention Center. During E3 2005, exhibitors debuted more than 1,000 computer and video games and related products. Tens of thousands of industry professionals from around the world attended E3 2005, including software developers, buyers and retailers, programmers, distributors, entertainment industry representatives, financiers and venture capitalists, importers and exporters, manufacturers, resellers, researchers, educators, financial and industry analysts and worldwide electronic and print media. Booth Babes Contrary to popular belief the booth babes will be there this year. Though they will just have a few more clothes on than in years past. Froggiegirl is on the case, and as I understand from GlitterKill, she is the 'official photographer' for that detail. So if they are there, the goods will be delivered to both sites! Other Stuff While there we hope to get in as much information on new and upcoming games, hardware and anything else that is going on. I have my game lists, floor plans, publishers and developers lists all ready to go, right along with my plan of action. So with business cards in hand I hope to do GameApex proud! ![]() | ||
