Much like the hardware counterpart to UW, we recently upgraded to the latest and greatest version of our forum and the gallery is coming along now. Expect some great hacks and special features to be added here in the coming days. I have been waiting for this upgrade before diving in on too many updates... Time to get the party started.

I can't get into the arcade...keeps saying I don't have the right "privileges" to do so... Am I banned from the arcade?!? NOOOO!!!! LOL

Just one of the "bugs" i've seen. Also, it wouldn't let me get into the arcade at home or at work. I'm using Firefox 1.5 in both places...

That makes two of us. Here's the error message that i'm getting:

Other than that arcade problem of not getting into it (thanks for fixing it you tease!!) and the gallery still not up (hope its good ) everything seems to be running smoothly.

I mean, i'm having an easy time using the forum...i think i posted what...almost 15-20 news threads today Keep up the good work GK!! Thanks for everything you do!!

Oh well our arcade bliss is over! Enko has found out the arcade is up and running. :sad:

Instead of thriving on being a problem child, why not try and strive for something better. I mean you have tried the problem child part, and it ain't working for ya.IMHO.

I have added a welcome/login box to non forum pages. This will also show you if you have any new PMs.

Lemme know if you run into any bugs. I had to do quite a bit of hacking to get that workign right.

What about linking images from the gallery? Can we not do that? Everytime I try to link an image from the uberw00t gallery it never shows up in the message post...

I'd really like to post images through the uberw00t gallery instead of going through another service like photobucket or something. Anyways GK, any insight on this would be greatly appreicated Great work, and keep it up!!!

EDIT: Also, in conjunction to that, is there a good way for you to add accurate text wrapping to the forum posts? I know that seems kind of odd, and wouldn't truly benefit everyone, but I think Spectrum and I would get a lot of use out of it...instead of posting the "pics" at the bottom of the text field, we could include them in the post itself, without making readers go "WTF, where in the world is the rest of my sentence?" Just a thought, don't know if you any special hacks for that at all...but try the Konami code Heck, it did everything back in the day! lol

Don't know if this is a "bug" or "error," but it sure is annoying...

After you've posted a message, and you decide that you want to edit it, but don't feel the "basic" options you're first given adequate for what you want, you'll want to go the "advanced" route. However, when you do this, you lose all your paragraph forms and the message becomes one big paragraph, where you have to go (in the midst of all the html coding that now shows up in the edit form, which is another annoyance, but one i can live with) and manually "space out" your paragraphs...

Just something i noticed whenever i "fubar" my news messages...

What method are you using to link to the images in the gallery?

What sort of images are you wanting to link to? It may be an image that is only good for the news post and in those cases hot link whenever you can or just link to the pics. If you have a need for images that dont really belong in the gallery I can setup a ftp folder for you to use and link to.

What do you mean exactly by accurate text wrapping?

Text wrapping, like in microsoft word...where you put a picture within the text and it will conform around the picture. This is done on many news sites now that I see (most notably Next Generation).

What our posts do is put the picture smake dab in the middle of the post...seperating a sentence and possibly looking like this...

be. The rest of the paragraph continues down here at the bottom of the picture.



I would like something like this
where the text
wraps around
the paragraph,
so what the writer
is trying to convey
is easily understood
by the reader. It's nit-picky I know, but it makes

Ok, I just hope all that stays in form when I post this...or i'll look like an even bigger idiot , EDIT: well crap...it didn't hold the format that I put it in...shoved everything to the left margin...grrr...if you want to see what i mean, hit the edit button on my post... (if you can that is )

Also, i just tried the image link in the toolbars window to the gallery pictures, and it didn't show up.

Some of the pictures that I'd like to include in posts about new games can't be "hot-linked" because of the site they come from (the press release site).
