| Most people who game have tried singleplayer cheats at sometime or another during gaming. I am just curious who plays through without help, before they then give the sp cheats a whirl? Or maybe there are even those who have never used SP cheats? ![]() | ||

The popular cheats from Wolfenstein and Doom from id software. As well as many of their latter games, but I think they basically started with Doom.

| Weapons cheat. Sometimes I just get bored with the weapons that are given in a level, plus I cant wait to get the ultimate (or best) weapon Of the game... Once I have the weapons, I have to try them all out and see which is the most effective. One thing I noticed in some games, is that it changes as the game progress's. For example, in the beginning (same enemy) they die within 2 or 3 shots, Later on, It may take as many as 5 to 7 Shots to bring that once weak enemy down. | ||

| When I was younger, I thought I was cool by using cheats....but, as I've gotten older, I've realized that games nowadays really arn't that challeneging (anymore at least...Contra, Mega Man, and the original TMNT still kick my ass) so there really isn't a need for them (most of the time). However, I do like to run around in God mode and laugh at the futile attempts that my enemies try against me. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Of course, thats only after I beat the game . I think the last game I 'cheated' on was Doom II. I'll also use cheats if I really don't enjoy the game and just want to see the ending, which I did with Doom 3. Then I realized, how the HELL was I supposed to beat that without cheating? lol. | ||

| I love cheating. Just something about it, it's breaking the world rules like the characters in the Matrix do. It's walking around with supernatural powers and for me, it can enhance my gameplay experience. Although it cheapens the gameplay and makes it pointless if you play a game all the way through on god mode. I try to use them sparingly or when it will enhance my experience, such as an incredibly difficult challenge that is highly annoying/frustrating. Or when I want the BFG and don't want to wait until the game is 90% complete to have some fun. Morrowind is the game I have cheated most with, if I didn't have the cheats, I wouldn't have played it nearly as much as I did. But I have yet to cheat at Oblivion. I'll break 'em out when I'm bored with the traditional avenues of gameplay and want to play a character that can jump 200 feet or has super regeneration. That's fun to me. Oh and hi btw, finally decided to come over here as there's little game chatter on pcapex. | ||

I always liked the "citizes riot" cheats for the GTA games - it lets you make up some fun mini-games like trying to make it all the way across the cities on foot (it's harder than it sounds).
