Question Mouse Poll

Some new mice are coming out with DPI as high as 3200. Do you think mouse DPI really makes that much difference in game performance?

Where's the option for...

Huh? What? Who cares...just play.

I don't get into all that stuff. A mouse is a mouse. If I can shoot the other guy before me, thats all that matters. if he shoots me first, better luck next time.

I just wish the hit boxes in CS:S didn't lag so damn much...grr...there's nothing worse than knowing you are behind a wall and you are shot and killed from a spot you were just at 3 seconds ago.

No comment, they can have my trackball when they pry it from my cold, dead hands.

Scratch that, they'll have to cut my hands off at the wrist.

I voted yes on this one. Although i sure as heck wouldn't be able to function with that much DPI, i do find that having both the ability to use a high DPI setting as well as having the ability to vary the DPI setting in game/app is of huge benefit to me.

It really depends on the game you play, I think.
I like to have higher DPi when in a close combat situation, so I can be able to turn faster. On the other hand, if I switch to sniper I set it as low as possible to have a more steady aim. But I don't see a real need for 3200 DPI. My MX518 works fine for me :geek:

Ergonomics are more important that DPI for me. A comfortable mouse, as long as it's not a ball mouse, is all I need.

The longer I have the mouse I have now, the less I like it. My previous mouse was the best I have ever had, and I miss it. There is a new one coming to me for revieww, and I am looking forward to trying out something new.

I have found out that a good, and responsive mouse it vital to gameplay. Whatever that maybe for the individual though is all a matter of taste.

My trackball was discontinued by Logitech (TrackMan Marble FX Trackball), and now I scour ebay to pick up additional ones should mine go out. I haven't found anything even close to as perfect for my hand. My only gripe about it (and it's a small gripe) is that occasionally a game has an option for a middle mouse button, and I don't software program one onto the trackball due to where the third button is located.
